Mike spoke to more than 300 4th-11th grade Carson Scholars at the 23rd Annual Maryland 2019 Carson Scholars Fund Banquet and Award Ceremony and gave a huge congratulations to all these scholars!
All these students had earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher plus had spent significant time volunteering. For their efforts, they were awarded a $1000 scholarship from the Carson Scholars Fund, which was founded by Candy and Ben Carson (United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development).
“We need you. This country needs your leadership. This country needs your courage.” Carson told the students during the ceremony.
During the program, Mike received the Trailblazer award and gave all the Carson Scholars their very own MyPillow.
Over 300 students were honored as 2019 Carson Scholars and awarded a $1000 scholarship.
