For coronavirus: stay in prayer first and foremost
Scott Hennen on WZFG’s “What’s On Your Mind Hour” opens up with a topic that is on all our minds: coronavirus. He states, “We’re trying to find this balance between letting people know what they need to know — and there’s a lot of good, rational information out there — while, at the same time, going on with life because it seems like the coronavirus is everywhere!”
Mike answers that people “have to stay in prayer first and foremost. Then you’ve got to get educated about it and find out if you’re at risk or not. You can’t completely change everything you do in your life. There’s a fine balance and you have to personalize it to your life.”
Mike goes on to say that he thinks that ”there’s a lot of panic right now. Whether it’s warranted or not, I don’t even know and I don’t think anybody does right now. But in the meantime, I’ve been surprised that the stock market continues to crash. It’s affecting everything.”
Mike is the Campaign Manager for the Trump campaign for Minnesota, and he has already had to cancel events because people do not want to show up for any kind of rallies. He did a big speaking engagement about drugs and alcohol in Florida the other day and only one-third of the people showed up. “I don’t think we’ve ever seen anything like this. So I don’t think there are any easy answers.”
We’re all in this together
Mike doesn’t think the media can use coronavirus against Trump because he thinks that would hurt them. “We’re all in this together and even people on the left are going to go, ‘come on, you can’t blame the President for this. This is crazy.’”
Mike is “so happy we have what I can say is the greatest President ever.” Mike knows Trump, the Vice President, Ben Carson, and all of the staff now and believes “we have the best people behind this, and I can guarantee you they’ve been on this nonstop since the coronavirus first came out.”
Mike says that “Trump is the one that will get this thing solved. We’re very blessed with the people we have in power right now. Obviously, there’s going to be some fake news channels out there that are going to try and use this against Trump and take away all the good things we’ve had in our economy. Can you imagine where we would be today if we didn’t have this massive economy? So at least we have some fallback.”
Pray that we get through this
We have to just pray that they find a quick vaccine and then pray that we get through this. It’s going to pass, it’s just when will it pass. How long it will take to recover will remain to be seen.”
Mike thinks “this will be a good lesson to teach us to be prepared in the future. It’s like 9/11 when we all got prepared for certain things. There’s going to be things that this is going to affect both now and in the future.”
